Sixty-Eight

Sally's POV

He walked quickly towards me, startling me with how fast his steps were. Suddenly, I felt something cool on my forehead. My attention was redirected to the length of his arm, reaching me and onto my forehead. So he is someone with cold hands. It feels nice on my warm body.

"Your fever has subsided." Ryan breathed a sigh of relief, lowering his arms to his sides. I was a little disappointed when he let go, but whatever. "Thanks God." He smiled slightly.

I turned my attention back to the soups, eating them until my heart was satisfied, repeating the words his mother had said earlier. I felt better when I ate the third bowl of soup, but after what happened just now, I was full.

"I'll go now, Ryan's dad needs me." Ryan's mother said. Even though she introduced herself and told me to call her Sica, I still found it difficult to use her name.

I just nodded. My thoughts were still far away, unconsciously stirring the soup. But quickly I told her. "Thank."
