Seventy-Three

Sally's POV

The second time, I affirmed this with strong and clear determination in my voice, confidence radiated from me, I had never felt more certain than in doing this and just like that, I felt something completely caught up with me. And what happens next no longer concerns me.

I watched Ryan kneel, fists clenched against his chest, veins standing out on each side of his neck. But no matter how much pain he was in, I still didn't mind.

"Oh no, wait..." My bored eyes landed on his distraught brown orbs. "I'm not your mate anymore when you decide to scare me."

His eyes opened wide. "How..."

"Here's another thing you don't know about me, Ryan, is that I dig for more information if I'm not happy with it."

I pursed my lips tightly. "You shouldn't lie to me."

"The blood I drew from you when we fought sealed the deal."

I gave a weak smile. "I'm no longer your burden to worry about, whatever I do won't affect you anymore."

I glanced at Kaytlyn again: "May you both live happily ever after
