Seventy-Two

Sally's POV

I went to my next class immediately, took my usual seat, the professor walked in, started the class, it ended, and I rushed out like lightning. I knew Athena was hurt because of me, but not as much as I felt, like being stabbed in the chest a thousand times.

When lunch came, I left campus for a while. I need to be somewhere alone, at my parents' graves.

I took a taxi and gave him directions. Not long after, arriving at the entrance, I paid the driver and got off the bus. My parents' burial site is breathtaking. I envy them and their resting place because not far from where they are buried, there is a sea ahead.

The cold breeze blowing from the sea in front of me embraced me like a hug, it didn't feel strange but rather found the whole situation relaxing.

I cleaned their graves of the overhanging grass growing on their headstones. Wipe dirt off the inscription. "Hello mom, dad". I smiled with a heavy heart before letting out a shaky breath.
