Thirty-Three

Sally's POV

My breathing became angry again, my vision blurred slightly. "Tell me." I urged, gripping the bed bars again.

She sighed in frustration. "Your grandfather assigned you our spirit beast, Raven, without your consent."

She stopped. "So with all the pressure put on you, it took your life."

I waited for her to continue, but she didn't. There was something else she didn't tell me, and it made me very upset. But, I won't force her anymore, at least for today.

That was the last time he laid his finger on me, but apparently, it still happens to this day albeit occasionally.

Old habits die hard, they say.

Since the ER ordeal, that's when my grandmother told me he was repenting for the things he did to me. She said it was his wake-up call to stop whatever he was doing. From then on, he tried to make amends with me.

He knows that he is the one who turned his once intelligent, loving niece into this killing machine. He also knows that there is no one to blame but him.
