Chapter eighty-four

All memories from small to large kept flooding back, every word I said to Venn was a smoldering pain in my heart that I never wanted to share with anyone. I was able to stay calm at first, but as time went on, my voice became more choked up.

"Growing up in the same family but you have a mother and I don't, you don't have to worry about money but I do. You know how much I admire you. If you want to blame someone for something, take a good look at yourself before blaming others."

Matthew looked at me with complicated eyes. One of his arms wrapped around my waist as if he wanted to protect me.

I gently placed one of my hands on Matthew's arm around my waist, telling him I was okay.

The past couldn't be returned, I would not dwell in it forever. I was glad that I was not alone now, I had Matthew and my baby by my side. I would cherish them, cherish the happy moments that I always wished for before.

When people look to the past, people would be less sad. The feelings that used to be pain
