Chapter one hundred and ten

When I woke up suddenly, there was an arm around me. I had to compose myself for a moment before I could temporarily get rid of the fear that the dream brought.

"Matthew, I'm scared." I leaned on Matthew's shoulder, whispering in his ear.

That dream was a fear I never wanted to think about. My mother passed away when I was young, but the pain of losing her was so great that I couldn't forget it. I was still very young then, I was just a five year old child, I didn't know the difference between life and death. I still vividly remember the image of my mother lying on the hospital bed, her lips were white, her eyes were extremely weak, but she still firmly held my hand, using all her strength to tell me two sentences, one was “sorry” and the other was “I love you, so much.”

The image I had in my dream was very similar to the last images I had of my mother. Those were the images that I didn't want to see again in my life, once time was more than enough.
