Chapter one hundred and sixteen

It had faced great difficulty to be able to pull Matthew out of that mom-and-pop store.

I originally planned to buy some things for my child there, but this plan was ruined by Matthew and Jack.

After leaving that store, Jack and Matthew went their separate ways, both seemingly determined not to see each other again.

We didn't have any interest in buying anything either, so as a result we both returned with only two dresses for me and nothing for our children.

Until I got into the car, I didn't say a word to Matthew. Matthew knew that I was angry with him, so he didn't dare to cause trouble anymore.

"Why did you and your attitude to Jack become so harsh?" I asked Matthew coldly.

This was his only chance to be honest, if he didn't give me a satisfactory answer then I would get really mad at you and stop talking to him. I swore to myself that this time I wouldn't forgive him so easily.
