Chapter one hundred and twenty

"Did he say anything else?" I carefully asked.

I was afraid that a new storm would continue to strike. Life was full of difficulties, we still experienced the old waves and the new ones had already come.

Alden had said so, showing that he had more or less doubts, and even had the evidence in his hand. But I thought the possibility of him grasping the evidence was not too high. Matthew was a careful man, so he wouldn't let anyone else get the proof of our marriage contract so easily.
