Chapter sixty-four

Matthew called and texted me so much but I didn't pick up his phone call and I also had to text him to reply.

"I'm fine, let's talk more tonight and now give me a little more time. Don't bother me, please focus on working."

After that text message had been sent, I decisively turned off the phone, not giving Matthew the opportunity to call or text me anymore.

I knew my actions were wrong. It was clear that Matthew and Rebecca were just talking about cooperation, but I reacted like they were about to get back together and hurt me deeply. I knew I was overreacting but I couldn't control myself.

In the end, I was worried because I loved Matthew, but I found myself unworthy of that love. From the moment Matthew and I signed the marriage contract, I didn't deserve to be in love.

I wandered on the main road, surrounded by heavy traffic. All passers-by rushed with their plans, only I didn't know where to go.
