CHAPTER 34

"What on earth are you doing here?" I exclaimed upon seeing Grantt standing right in front of my condo unit. It was clear he intended to follow through with what he mentioned earlier about visiting me.

Judging by his attire, he didn't appear to be planning a lengthy stay. He likely had a gig or was on his way to their get-together.

"I already told you, didn't I? I'll wait for you here. It's not like what I'm doing is stalking, is it?"

I briefly closed my eyes, struggling to refrain from smacking him with my shoulder bag. Can't he comprehend that I don't want to see or talk to him?

"Grantt, I need to find my peace, and I can't do that with your constant nagging and nonsense, okay?"

He didn't respond immediately. I wasn't looking directly at him, but from the corner of my eye, I noticed him bow his head. I released a heavy sigh.

"It seems there's nothing more I can do to win you back. You're right. Who in their right mind would love the sibling of the person they love?" he dramatically
