Lillith let him guide her down the steps. A lot of people had their eyes on her. From young women to men to old people. They wondered who this mysterious lady was and how she had appeared here.

"Are you nervous?" Lucian whispered into her ears.

She shrugged. "Quite nervous if I am to be honest. Everyone has their eyes on me and I might trip over my dress,"

Lucian laughed and placed his hand on the small of her back before leading her to the middle of the room.

He had a champagne flute filled with wine in his other hand. A maid handed a small spoon over to him and he used it to gently hit the side of the cup.
