Chapter 24

Gabriel:

I blink a few times, trying to adjust to the light, before looking around. I’m laying in a hospital bed, with quite a few tubes attached to my body.

Huh? I’m alive?

i remember walking through a forest after taking Gray to her house, and I knew that I had no chance of surviving with all that silver inside of me, so I just dived into a lake awaiting my death.

”Just as expected, you’re awake!” I hear someone say. I turn back to see the pack doctor, scribbling some stuff on his notepad. “I’ll go call your mother, she’s right outside,” he adds, walking towards the door.

A few moments later a familiar woman comes running in the room. As soon as she sees me, she doesn’t waste a second to come wrap her arms around me in joy. I smile into my mother’s warm embrace.

”Gabriel... Oh... Don't you ever scare me like that ever again!” She exclaims, pulling me closer, making me hiss in pain.

”Be careful with him! He’s still healing!” The doctor says, rushing over to help me lay down properly
