Chapter 23

Gabriel:

I open my eyes and blink as my wolf lets me regain control over my body. All the men are laying on the ground, lifeless, disfigured and covered in blood. Even I’m covered in blood, I realize that I’ve been stabbed multiple more times and have gotten quite a lot more bruises. I turn to look at my mate. She’s been knocked unconscious, blood running down the side of her head. Without even thinking, I take off my shirt to wrap up her wound.

“You useless piece of shit, you couldn’t even protect your mate,” I scold myself. Ignoring all the pain in my body, I slide my arms under her and pick her up, bridal style. I have to get her home as soon as possible.

As I walk outside, I notice the van disappeared. I guess I’ll have to walk all the way. Damn, this is gonna be a long and hard journey. I look down to see that I’ve been stabbed on the right side of my chest. The wound isn’t that deep, but it still made it hard to breathe properly. My blood was spilling onto Grayson. I had nothin
