Chapter 22

Grayson:

I scowl as I’m thrown in a cage. The guards carry us to into a van, and close the trunk. It was now almost completely dark, if it weren’t for two small windows.

My eyes fall on Gabriel. He’s sleeping on the opposite side of the cage. I assume they must’ve injected him with silver as well. I crawl closer to him and inspect his body. He’s covered in new cuts and scratches. There’s also a huge gash on his leg, and it’s bleeding pretty badly.

I think for a minute, before grabbing my shirt and ripping off the bottom, turning it into a crop top. I wrap the fabric around his leg, tying it in place with a tight double-knot. That should help him. Wait, why am I helping him? I’m supposed to be mad at him.

“He came all this way to save us,” Grace says.

I’ll ask him about the whole cheating thing later. I suppose that for now, there was no point in holding a grudge, since we only had eachother.
