Chapter 34: Surprise Visit

Time passed quickly until all our classes were over. I was arranging my things when my cellphone rang, signaling an incoming call. At first, I thought it was Josh, but then I remembered he mentioned having something to do and would chat with me later.

I took my cellphone from my skirt pocket and saw that Ate Aika was calling me. I quickly answered.

"I'm here at the mall, Yannie," Ate Aika greeted.

We had plans to meet today so I could give her my payment for the clothes she bought for me and Veron last weekend in Cavite. I asked her yesterday when she could meet, and she said today because she had something to do in Biñan. So, we decided to meet at the mall near the school.

"Alright, Ate. I'm on my way. Sorry, I just finished my class," I replied to Ate Aika.

"No worries, Yannie. Take care on your way here. See you!" Ate Aika said sweetly before we ended the call.

"Now you're meeting Ate Aika?" Veron asked me.

"Yes. Do you want to come along?" I asked Veron.
