CHAPTER 32

I lay on the ground, the searing pain coursing through my body was almost unbearable. Each breath felt like a struggle, as if my very life force was slipping away, leaving me on the precipice of death.

Logan’s large, and visibly angry wolf’s throw had sent me hurtling through the air, crashing into the unforgiving floor with a bone-jarring impact. My heart stubbornly beat, a reminder that the will to survive still burned within me, even as everything else seemed to be spiraling out of control.

My blurry eyes caught onto Logan who was now fully naked in all his glory which I am thankful for: I’m not seeing his large wolf around anymore. His eyes seemed to have tuned down from angry mode, back into its Teal colors.

He ran towards me with a teary-eyed and regretful expression, I could barely find the strength to respond. The pain was all-consuming, drowning out the sound of the world around me.
