Gerald decided to eat his breakfast ahead of Lizzy when the woman failed to show herself after seven in the morning. The food he ordered from Jollibee would be best eaten while it was still hot so he felt a little guilty after his first bite of the breakfast steak and he couldn’t take another bite without waking up the woman. Disgruntled, he walked towards her bedroom and knocked on her door. It was after several try that he discovered that the door wasn’t locked so he got inside while calling for her name. “Lizzy? He was only gone for a few days but Daniella felt that it was like they were separated for a year or more. She wanted to see him badly but she had to wait for two more days before he would come back. From the window of her bedroom, Daniella could see Lilian and Alexander playing with their daughter. Her stepsister’s eyes beamed with happiness when she was with Alexander but Lilian continued to deny her true feelings towards the man. In fairness to Alexander, he was handsome enough to make any woman swoon with just his presence. She hoped that sooner or later, Lilian would own up to her feelings and let Alexander become part of her life once again. On the night before his scheduled arrival, Daniella found it hard to sleep. Her heart was very excited to see him again and it was beating hard like a drum. It was almost midnight when she was forced to close her eyes and sleep. She was almost lost in oblivion when her phone rang and although she was sleepy, she still answered the call. “Yes?” “Guess who?” Her sleepiness was instantly gone and she sat upright to talk with the caller. “Where have you been? I couldn’t reach you for a few days,” she asked. Daniella was transparent and frank and those were some of the qualities Marcus adored in her. She didn’t bother to close the drapes in her window last night and Lilian woke up to the rays of sunlight getting into her room.
