ALPHA DENVER’S POVIt wasn’t even the crack of dawn yet. Everywhere was still pitch black and it was the perfect time for me and Yara to leave the palace before anyone would spot us. True that I was the alpha and I held all the power in my pack but where secrecy was necessary, one had to be discreet about whatever was being done so words and false rumors wouldn’t spread around the pack like wildfire.If any of my guards or maids were to spot me and Yara leaving the palace alone while everyone was still asleep. ALPHA DENVER’S POVWe had the bikes parked far away from the hideout so they weren’t going to hear us coming. Then I took my guns and held them tight while I gave Yara a taser and a dagger to use. I used the guard’s phone after he was killed, to have the hideout tracked so I could know exactly where it was and it wasn’t hard to find. It was very obvious that the guard was very clumsy to have such a piece of information in his phone without any form of security that would make it hard to access and for a moment, I felt ashamed to have him as my guard. He was dead already soo good riddance for me.It only made me sure of one thing. His fellow connivers had to be as stupid as he was if he was their leader and was that clumsy, that meant they obviously didn’t stand a chance against me, and killing them wasn’t going to be a hassle even without my powers.“Are we there yet?” Yara asked me as we slowly and quietly walked through the woods where the hideout was situated and I hissed at her.“

Once that knife went through my flesh and it was pushed further into my stomach by that woman before I could do anything, I already knew the story was going to end up with me dying, and alpha Denver was simply going to find someone else to take my space and maybe the person was even going to forgive him even faster and all my attempts to get revenge for my sisters was going to be in vain. The wound won’t heal in a week though but it would be enough to make her strong enough to walk around if she wants to.” “That’s great then. YARA’S POVNINE DAYS LATER…I was made to stay in bed for a week. I tried to put up a fight at first but thanks to Leo and Mark, they held me down and it was no use to even try and fight against them because I was too weak to do so. So I had to do as they said, under Alpha Denver’s order, and ended up staying in bed for a whole week and two days. It was the worst way to punish me because it felt like I was jailed and at a point, it felt like I was losing my mind.Freya was the only person I saw throughout that period while Leo and Mark hung outside the room and her presence was really helpful as she kept me company, made me take my medication, changed the dressing on my wound, and checked up on me to see if I was improving as time passed. I wasn’t going to admit it though, because I was too stubborn to do so but I was actually improving during my forced bed rest, and by the time a week and two days were gone and over, I felt much better and the cut on my stomach from the stab was onl

Thanks to Yara, I had to take days off to watch her as the palace’s physician treated her while she remained unconscious because I didn’t want to take the risk of letting anything happen to her while I wasn’t there. Stephen knew she was a witch and due to the shared hatred that the whole pack had for witches, he could be negligent while he treated her and then she would end up dead, making my whole deal with her be in vain and I may have to live without my powers for life… I couldn’t let that happen so I had to sacrifice a few days of work at the company and hotels to watch over her while she remained unconscious.As I got ready for the day while putting on my suit, I remembered what had happened earlier in the morning when Freya came to me in a panic, saying that Yara was missing and she wasn’t in her room.
