Even though he claimed he was helping to get rid of me faster, it still felt very weird because the alpha Denver I had grown used to having around all the time was never going to do that. He was always angry with a deep frown on his face that it even made me wonder how he didn't have wrinkles yet. Then he went ahead to make me speechless too. I didn't believe it and I wanted to convince myself that I was probably hallucinating but it actually happened and I wasn't the only witness.We both entered the office where he fixed me first and I could feel everyone's eyes on us. They all bowed to greet him at the same time before they watched in silence as he helped me return my table to its place and I placed the chair beside it then I gave him an awkward smile as a thank you. YARA’S POVI woke up earlier than usual the next day because I had my own plans. I was feeling more energized and ready for the day and there was even a hint of excitement in me… It was because I was finally going to start training on my own and no one was going to know except me. Not even Freya because I had to keep it very confidential. Alpha Denver could force her to tell the truth and she would have no choice but to let it all out so it was better she didn’t know about it at all just for her own safety. I quickly got up from the bed and went into the closet. Then I brushed my teeth and plaited my hair into the single braid like I always liked to have it done. ALPHA DENVER’S POVI was still asleep. My alarm hadn’t even rung yet when I heard a knock on the door and I woke up with a start. I dragged my feet as I walked to the door with sleepy eyes and a resolve to make whoever it was that woke me up before my fixed time pay because my sleep was just ruined after a very stressful previous day at the company. I opened the door and it was just a maid. I growled angrily as I glared at her and she had her head bent while her body shook… she was obviously frightened, just as she should be.“What is this about? You better have a good reason or I’m making you stay awake for four days” I warned her and she went down on her knees immediately. I made a face at them before I walked away, realizing there was no way I would be able to hear the discussion going on between Alpha Denver and Luna Amanda’s parents in the throne room so I gave up and just went to have a seat outside the palace.At least the cool air outside the palace was enough to distract me and take my mind off thinking about what they could be talking about.
