CHAPTER 22: MASQUERADE BALL PART 1

???'S POV

I watched as Alpha, Carson, and Cleopatra arrived

at the ball on time. Despite the four times, Carson stopped on the way to take

a piss.

His sister said he had the bladder of a

seven-year-old.

The venue was beautifully decorated. It had

never-ending walls of lights, and a large chandelier hung perfectly at the

centre of the ceiling.

Ladies and gentlemen were both dressed in

expensive gowns and tuxedos, talking away with each other. You could see the

excitement in their eyes, beneath the masks they wore.

The whole scene was like a page from a fairytale

book.

The orchestra music, the ballroom dancing, the

intense stares that the gentlemen were giving the ladies, and the girly giggles

of the ladies who noticed the men, noticing them. It all made it even more

surreal.

Cleopatra saw a few of her friends she went to

high school with, so she excused herself and made her way to join them.

Carson and Alpha made their way to the bar.
