CHAPTER 63: THE DRAGONFLAME SUMMIT

Even the clouds that were now in view with the rising sun seemed like it was plucked out from a painting of a perfect picnic day. The lacy white-edged clouds were like puffs of white magic as they rolled in over acres of blue sky.

It didn't take our heroes long to arrive at the bottom of the summit.

The green carpeted forest began to fade as the ground became dry and chalky. Their eyes noticed the mountain. It seemed like any other mountain, with sides that were covered with old-growth forests and the farmland below was fertile, but lay against the bright blue sky was a craggy volcano that seemed like it had been simmering for ages. The white wisps rose from the top like the fumes from a burning chimney that was giving away the location of a lonesome cottage hidden away deep in the woods.

“Of course, the dragons live up there," Hazel spoke with sarcasm. Julia was loving it, though she had always had a fascination with volcanoes and volcanic activities.
