CHAPTER 52

IVY POV

I walked into the bedroom late one night and Asher was already in there. He had just stepped out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and I sat on the bed to take my shoes off.

" Where have you been all afternoon?" He asked.

" What do you mean? I went to see a couple of those villages. I had meetings with the women there." I say.

" Oh yeah. That's what you say." He says.

" What the hell is that meant to mean?" I yell.

" I mean, I called those villages. I know that you weren't there. So where the hell were you? I was looking for you all afternoon and your mind link wasn't working. You've already been kidnapped once. Do you really want it to happen again?" Asher yelled at me.

" Screw you. What the hell are you accusing me of?" I asked as I stood up.

" You know exactly what I am accusing you of. Who the hell were you with?" He asked.

" Wow. You are really f**king reaching now, aren't you?" I asked.

" Well, I'm obviously not doing the job getting you pregn
