Chapter Sixty-five

The thought made him lightheaded.

It was already dark outside, and he realized that he’d spent hours in the coffee after Liam had gone to mull over the things he’d heard.

He needed to go home. He was sure his guards would be searching hell and heaven for him.

Dialing their numbers, he rattled off his location to them after assuring them that he was fine and walked out to wait for them.

After standing outside the coffee shop for a while, he looked behind his shoulder and felt that there was someone following him. he couldn’t tell if it was an illusion, or it was real or maybe he was just being paranoid.

He frowned and walked over to the well-lit parking lot to wait for the bodyguards to bring the car.

Suddenly a Ford swung into the parking lot, slowing to a stop beside him and Angelo stepped down from it.

The hair at the back of his neck prickled with tension. What was he doing here and why was he standing so close to him?
