EVANORA'S POV.

It was morning and under normal circumstances, I was to be getting prepared for breakfast and then training.

But there was nothing normal about my circumstance. I missed him. Way more than I should have.

I tied my hair up into a neat bun and headed for the door. I opened it slowly, looking around the corridors to check if anyone was around or looking at me and on seeing none, stepped out of my room.

From the few days I'd spent with the king, one thing I noticed about him was how he never skipped breakfast. He was always right on time in the dining and then waited for my arrival before starting his breakfast.

He was going to be in for a very long wait today.

Trying to be as natural as possible, I walked down the stairs. People were roaming around the palace but pretending to not see any of them, I quickened my steps and in no time was out of the palace.

As soon as I was sure I was as far enough from the palace to not get caught, I began running. My spirit felt free as I
