The trip down from the desk to the other side of the table was a long and embarrassing one. Bruce had returned to his seat, the report he was studying in front of him. He completely ignored her like she was invisible and it hurt her even more.

How long had he known about her affair with Adam? Why hadn't he confronted her then? Cassandra adjusted her dress and tapped on the desk to get his attention.

"You knew about Adam and I and yet you said nothing?" She inquired, trying to keep the hurt from her voice.

"It's none of my business who you fuck or screw around with. I couldn't care less." He replied coldly, not looking at her. Cassandra pushed the files off the table and screamed at him to look her in the eyes while spewing his nonsense. How could he not care? They were going to be married!
