Ivy refused to speak. Speaking would only get her in trouble. She would have spit out every single thought that had crept up her mind since she first saw him but instead, she chose to remain silent.

She silently took him in. Well, he was a looker if only he could control his anger. She was mad though, mad that he had ignored her until now.

“Alpha, we’ve arrived” The door swung open. She didn’t realize that they had gotten to their destination since she was more focused on the man who was her second chance mate, a mate that would have healed the pain she felt inside.

Quit it, Ivy. You don’t need mates. You don't need more heartaches. She chided herself.

She attempted to drop down from the car when he pulled her back. “There’s something you need to know,”
