“What’s this news that I’m hearing, Bru?” The door swung open revealing a brunette. Her hair cascaded her moon-shaped face, and her lips coated in red paint, a hint of anger on her face.

Alpha Bruce turned, sparing her a quick glance before returning his gaze back to the desk. “What news exactly? You need to be specific” he replied. Cassandra huffed, hating that he wasn’t taking her seriously.

“Something about you returning from the Nile Pack with a female. Why would you do that?” She questioned fiercely.

“Oh.” He nodded, “she’s my mate, Sandy” Bruce replied. The air was tense and quiet. Cassandra stood rooted to a spot as she let his words dwell in her head.

“B- but how?” She splurted. “What would happen to us?”

He rose from his seat, shutting the documents in front of him then approached her. “I meant to tell you that I just didn’t know you would return so early.”
