SIXTY NINE

Lucien was out of his mind with worry; his conversation with Mara about her decision to have dinner with Alexander Russo on his yacht was the last he had heard from her.

Her location was not only off but her phone was also switched off, he had tried to call when she had not gotten back to him on any progress. He did not think it was time yet to contact the police on her disappearance but he was already on the phone with his brother Jason and his wife Elizabeth.

“I am sure Mara is fine” Elizabeth told him, she was pregnant and he had not wanted her to hear about it but they were friends and he could hardly hide anything from Elizabeth

“Her phone is off” Lucien breathed

“It probably died and she is unaware, we can only start panicking if by tomorrow we still haven’t heard a word from her and I do not think that Alexander is stupid enough to do anything to her with how popular he is; he might be dangerous but he is definitely nor stupid” Elizabeth told him
