Insulted & Threatened

Christine heaved a sigh as she walked into the large living room. Her steps faltered as she stood in the middle of the room taking in everything around her like it was her first time there.

A small smile sat on her face as her mind wondered how she thought Ruth lived her whole life in a house that could pass for a palace but it wasn't a big thing to have anymore.

The first and last day she came into this house, she had commented on how high the ceiling was and how the chandelier seemed like a constellation.

That same day, Rhoda called her a gold-seeking thief because of her relationship with Ruth.
