The Perfect Closure

Alex sat in the middle of the rowdy club wishing he hadn't gone there in the first place. His small circle of friends, upon seeing the tabloids on his engagement posted on media outlets, called him out to celebrate his upcoming wedding.

To do that, they invited him to the club he had first met his bride-to-be and held a small get-together for him.

In less than an hour after getting there, talking and binge-drinking, the guys dispersed, going into the crowd of dancing bodies for their catches for the night, leaving him alone on the club's vip couch, bored and tipsy, and maybe just a little drunk. All in all, he regretted the night.

His mind haphazardly wandered from the first day he had met Ruth, to the first day he met Christine, to his first date with Ruth and incidental dates with Christine, to him acknowledging his weird feelings for Christine and how her reaction was and then to the point of it all, his coming marriage with a girl he loved —but did he?
