A DAY TO REMEMBER

For a very long time, Ronnie Hartman would remember this day, the day when he was forced to talk about something he'd long swept under the carpet for the sake of his sanity. And now, Detective Adams was making him want to talk about it.

But there was a problem. Talking about it was going to reveal a crime he'd committed. He was in a tight corner. Already, he'd begun to sweat, feeling the full weight of what he'd done come down on him.

Could the earth just open up and swallow me already? He thought to himself. Meanwhile, Detective Adams was running out of patience.

"We don't have all day, Ronnie and quite frankly, you've wasted my time enough."

Ronnie wiped the sweat off his face and took in a deep breath to calm his nerves. But it did nothing to calm him down. There was no escaping the hellish pain he was feeling.

"You're right. Dre saw something she should not have seen but that doesn't mean that I would kill her to keep the truth hidden." He was appealing to Detective Adams' emotio
