You never judge one on the first encounter, the first encounter wasn't even bad, although it was obvious she expected better from her son, now that I think about it, it's not a bad thing.

On hearing she had cancer, I was left torn, I can not even imagine what that must feel like, I can only sympathize but can't relate, a tug of guilt gripping me, I never excepted this heavy of an illness

I can not even begin to imagine what Max is going through right now, he had a smile on his face, they have the same smile, their resemblance uncanny, down to their piercing blue eyes, his mother's eyes dulling from age or perhaps sickness, she doesn't look like her sickness one can attest to that, just like Max she looks intimidating till she smiles or laughs, she knows a lot about flowers and takes delight in talking about talking of their meaning.

"Mother!" I heard a voice call out happily, as she ran in our direction but immediately pursed upon seeing me.
