CHAPTER TEN

Adrian stood still for a while, locking eyes with Vanessa who was literally melting from the inside.

“What do you mean the investments I made in his name are gone?” He finally said shifting away from Vanessa, who finally took a deep breath.

They weren't discussing her.

That must be a good thing right?

Andrew wasn't going to rat her out.

He really was a nice guy after all.

She stood still for a while, watching Andrew pace up and down the living room, before she slowly made her way upstairs.

She showered, scrubbing her body again and again and again.

There was no way she had sex with the stranger from last night.

Then how on earth did she end up in the room, half naked.

She felt so violated.

I must have been so drunk, I removed my clothes myself’ she said in a whisper trying to make herself feel better.

Sitting in front of her vanity mirror, she slowly traced her fingers over the blood clothed marks running the length of her neck, wondering how that came about.
