Chapter 88: Villain

Logan’s pov

“What are you planning brother?” I asked Justice who just shrugged.

“Nothing really, why do you ask?” he asked me, but I couldn’t stop getting this weird feeling.

“I know you know everything, that Scarlet is a witch and about the curse.

My question is why aren’t you doing anything about this information?” I asked him.

“What use would that be?

Your doom has always been written; all I have to do is relax.

You will meet your doom really soon” he said and then started laughing.

I looked at him, what is it that he knows that makes him this confident?

“What do you know?” I asked him and he started chuckling.

“Something amazing” he said and then stopped to look at me.

“But I will give you a hint, you will die very soon. No matter what you do you will die” he said and then walked off.

After a few minutes, my father came in, “are you okay?” he asked me.

“No father, I just have this really bad feeling about everything that is happening” I said, and he just shrugged.

“You are just feeling paranoid because of everything that has happened.

Plus, your mate isn’t around” my father said, and I nodded.

“I am thinking of going to see her. I have missed her so much” I said.

“When are you going? Have you spoke to the Vampire King?” my father asked, and I nodded.

I spoke to Sebastian, and he didn’t disapprove.

I guess he would do anything to break her spell.

Even if it means that he has to give up on his love.

“I still cant believe that a mother would hunt down her own daughter” my father said.

It seems like Charlotte has never had much luck when it came to her mothers.

The first one cursed her and hunted her down for centuries and still does.

While the other is also hunting her down, the hate I saw in her eyes.

If my mother looked at me that way I would be heart broken.

I wish I would take away all her pain and sorrow.

And if I am being completely honest I feel really insecure when I think about her being with Sebastian.

Although she doesn’t remember now the two of them share a great history.

Their love is the whole reason we are in this situation.

At times I feel like it’s their love story, and I am just a third person in it.

Like I am just a supporting character,

but after it was confirmed that we need to mate for the spell to be broken I was glad.

The moon goddess is on my side and has been uniting us for centuries as well.

Yes they have a great love story, their love story is the reason why we are here.

But we also share histories actually, we have shared so many pasts together.

We have fallen in love so many times, and who knows.

Maybe even back then when she was still Scarlet we also fell in love which is how we got cursed.

There is only one way to truly know the truth about what happened back then.

Scarlet has to regain her memories;

she needs to remember what happened.

No matter how hard I try I cant shake off the idea that there is more to this.

I get maybe taking away her magic as punishment for loving a vampire.

Back then they could have even gotten her married against her wish or any other punishment.

But why a curse?

Was she two timing the two of us?

Is that why she was cursed?

And how does she regain her memory.

What did the old Scarlet mean when she said that there is a weakness?

All these questions and no answer.

I went to my room and got my back.

I got it, that feeling and a cold shiver down my spine as if it’s the calmness before the storm.

I turned my eyes away for two seconds to take my phone.

When I looked back at the road a woman was standing there.

The witch, she really does look like Charlotte when you look at her.

The older version of Charlotte that it feels as if I have travelled into the future.

I stopped the car and got out, she looked at me with a smirk.

“Why do you look at me like that? As if I am the villain in your story?” she asked me.

“That because you are, you are the villain that cursed me and the woman I love” I answered, and she laughed at this.

“Really? even in this life you have fallen in love with her.

Well, that’s your destiny isn’t it?” she said looking amused.

The same look that Sasha and Justice have had ever since they came back.

“But what if I told you that you are the real Villain Damon?

What If I told you that you are just a villain in Sebastian and Scarlet’s love story?” she asked me.

“What are you talking about?

Who did you just call me?

Damon?

Why did you call me that?” I asked her.

She even called Charlotte as Scarlet which means only one thing the more I think about it.

Damon was my name, the name I had when I was cursed back then along with Scarlet.

But I do know that she is probably also trying to get into my head.

“Are you scared about what I might tell you?” she asked me, and I smiled.

“Not really, I don’t need to know what happened centuries ago to know the truth that you are the villain” I said.

“Really?

have you ever wondered why you were somehow entangled in all of this?

Think about it, everyone involved is being punished for something.

My daughter for loving an abomination and Sebastian for taking my daughter away from me.

What have you done?” she asked me.

When I didn’t answer her she smiled.

“don’t worry I will tell you.

The truth is that you are the real villain and not me.

but it would be better if I showed you instead of telling you” she said and then walked towards me.

“Are you ready? are you ready to find the answers to all your questions? Are you ready to know who the real villain is?” she asked me.
