Chapter 95: A mother and her daughter

Charlotte’s pov

“Are you okay?” Sebastian asked me.

“Yes I am okay,” I said and he shook his head as he held my hand.

“I know you had feelings for Logan, it’s okay to be sad that he is gone,” he said and I looked at him.

“I am, he made me dream of growing old in a house with a white picket fence,” I said with a smile.

“I think I love him,” I said to him.

I looked at him, he smiled as he if already knew the truth.

“I know, and now you remember all your past lives. The lives where you were tied to him,” he said.

I nodded, “we were never happy in those lives,” I said with a frown.

“In all those lives he was a really good person. He made one mistake, I know it doomed us all,” I said.

“And I know that it’s not the only thing on your mind,” he added and I nodded.

“It’s not, I think I have a solution to the blood mark curse,” I said and he looked at me.

“Okay, what is the solution?” he asked me and I held both his hands.

“Please keep an open mind,” I said and he nodded.

“I will go and see my mother,” I said and he shook his head.

“There is no way I will let you go and see that woman alone,” he said as I suspected.

“That woman is my mother,” I said and he shook his head.

“I agree with him, we can’t let you go and see her alone,” Alexa said.

“Why would you want to see her alone?” May asked me.

They all came inside the room, how long have they been waiting there?

“I think that I know a way to break the spell. Only I can understand you and none of you will understand this,” I said and then looked at Alexa.

“Please sister,” I said and she frowned.

“Then make us understand, why do you have to see her?” Sebastian asked me.

“My mother, after dad left her for another woman I was the only one she had.

She struggled raising me, I was her life and I betrayed her.

You know she always spoke about me having kids and a husband. She dreamed of a better life for me,” I said and looked at Alexa.

“The same life dad dreamt for both of us,” I said to her and I could see her melting.

“And then I fell in love, I made plans to me a hybrid without talking to her. Being half a vampire would mean,” I said but stopped as I looked at Sebastian.

“It would mean that you wouldn’t have kids,” May said.

“Yes, and my mother hated being alone.

She even wanted us to be buried side by side as you saw. Me being a hybrid meant that she would be alone again,” I said and looked at Sebastian.

“I broke my mother’s heart. The blood mark isn’t a spell that focuses on the blood but the heart. It’s anger and hate, when I forgave Logan he was freed from the blood mark,” I explained.

“And the only way for you to be free from this curse would be for your mother to forgive you?” May asked me and I nodded.

“I believe it’s the only way,” I answered and looked around the room.

“I know that you have waited for a millennia for me. My mother has also been around for just as long, hating me and cursing me,” I said and I held Sebastian’s hand.

“I could have left like I did back then. But I want to do it properly this time, I want to have a proper goodbye,” I said to him.

I looked around the room, “can I spent what might be my last hurrah with all of you?” I asked them.

“Do you have to be so stubborn?” David asked standing at the door.

“I just found you and now you want to say goodbye,” he added.

“Let’s just hope that it will only be goodbye for now,” I said and looked around the room.

“I think you should solve your differences with your mother. It’s a solution worth exploring,” Clara said.

She then held Alexa’s hand who was just looking at me.

“All these centuries I thought that it was our love story,” Sebastian said with a sad smile.

“Then I thought it was yours and Logan’s love story,” he added and then chuckled.

“Turns out it was a story about a mother and her daughter,” he said.

“I remember how much you loved your mother back then.

You always wanted to make her proud of you, you always showed up for her like she did for you.

If it will bring you peace, then do it,” he said trying to hold back his tears.

“If things don’t go as planned then we have forever to keep trying,” I said and he smiled nodding.

“I will keep trying until forever falls apart, I will always be here,” Sebastian said and I smiled.

“And I have forever too, I will use the spell to make myself a hybrid.

I will help brother in law find the answers to all your questions,” David said.

“Me too, I don’t mind living forever. I have never wanted to have kids anyways,” May said.

“My mate is a demon, I can’t leave Alexa alone. So if things don’t go as planned I will be right here waiting with her and keeping her company,” Clara said with a smile.

“This might be your last supper in this life. So sister, do you mind if I make you dinner?” David asked and I smiled.

“Dad’s famous pasta? You know how to make it?” I asked him and he nodded.

“Mom would make it when she missed him,” he said and then looked at me.

“I am sorry mother did that to you,” he said and I shrugged.

“It’s not your fault, maybe once the curse is broken my mother will love me again,” I said and he smiled.

“Even if she doesn’t, I will love you enough for both our parents,” David said as he hugged me.

Will I come back this time?

Will everything end now?

Will it end All that pain and heartache?
