She was finally asleep. Leon sighed and lay her down.

Weeks passed, and it was now the seventh month of my pregnancy.

"You…..you’re leaving…..?" I broke down in tears as Leon broke the news to me.

"Kitten remember the thing I couldn’t tell you? Well, I want to fix it so I can tell you…." He said. Noah had messaged Leon that something wasn’t right….. Gem’s father could not be the person who had tried to kill his grandfather. He wasn’t sure but something wasn’t right. Leon wanted to figure things out.

"How long will you be gone?" I asked.

"Not sure, but I’ll try to be back before the baby is born!"

"Leon, it’s just two months left," I said.

"I know, I promise I’ll be there with you….don’t be scared…." He said.

"Okay, but…. you’ll call right……you’ll have to call me."

"Gem…..I won’t be able to call you…. I ….I don’t need any distraction, I have to focus." he said, tears falling endlessly from my eyes, "please don’t cry."

"Leon, you’re leaving me…how can I not cry….are you tired of me?....
