"Eve?"

"Mommy?"

"Evangeline, are you even listening?" A jerk on my shoulder snapped me out of the memory of an hour ago when I received the worst threat of my life in the form of those photographs which I burnt in the fire as soon as I read the note attatched to them.

Who could it be?

I'm sure either Colton or Evanca or both were behind the threat.

"Mommy, you don't look fine. Am I right Uncle Dom?" Chase tucked on Dominic's hand. I saw frown on their faces.

"No baby, I am fine. It just the usual headache I suffer after a long meeting." I pulled him on my lap and kissed his hairs.

"I don't think it's work related, Eve. So, spill the beans." Dominic gave me a pointed look.

I eyed at Chase. How could he suggest me to talk our adult shit in front of a child who became the epicenter of this charade.

"We'll talk about it, okay." He reminded me and I knew, I'd be spared unless I shared this new problem with him.
