It had been a week since my visit to Dr. Lily. The test reports doomed our hopes more than doctors' words. The pregnancy might be more complicated than she predicted and there were 80% chances that it wouldn't survive the second trimester.

The news came when I started growing affection to this new life forming inside me no matter how and with whom it was created. It was my child, my blood and I fell in love with it.

I completely shut myself from everyone, I rarely came out from my room. I hardly spent any time with Chase who tried everything to cheer up my mood. How could I tell him about this devastating news? He always wished for a sibling. I had no heart to tell him that he might become a big brother or not. It would break his own innocent heart.

It's another afternoon. I had my breakfast in my room and currently sitting by the window, looking out at the garden. My eyes were fixed on the fountain, the water sparkled in the bright sunlight, full of life and hope unlik
