Stigma

The stares Rachael got from the people of the restaurant made her slightly uncomfortable. She had thought she was already used to it, but that was a lie. The stares still made her feel like a reject. it had been so long since she ate out because of the persistent stare. Either out of curiosity or resentment. of course, she was the woman who killed the famous Hardy.

If Andrew hadn't insisted they met at a restaurant, she wouldn't be here. She occasionally bent her wrist to check the time at the same time, tapping incessantly on the table nervously.

The waitress's voice behind her made her jolt in fear due to how distracted she was. Bringing her hand to her chest, she gave off a fake smile. At least the black-haired waitress didn't have a judgemental look on her face.

"Is there. Something you'll like to order ma'am" the young girl said in the most polite tone. It threw Rachael off. She hadn't remembered the last time she was treated so kindly by a stranger after the whole incident.
