The elevator dinged opened and Caden did not hesitate before stepping out.

He turned back to look at me and I looked at him back without saying anything.

"Then..." He told me simply and coldly and walked away.

My heart sank as Caden walked away without sparing me a glance. I must have hurt him pretty much.

I did not step out of the elevator but closed it. I pressed any floor that my finger could press.

I rested my back against the wall of the elevator and exhaled deeply. I ran my hand through my hair and sighed.
