CHAPTER TWENTY

Without batting his lashes, he turned away from her and increased his pace so Luna wouldn't go after him.

She didn't want to go after him, anyway. She realized that she had made a very big mistake.

Turning around, she sniffed and allowed the tears to run down her face, without making any attempt to wipe them off.

Luna didn't want to go back to the other part of the house, where she had met him for the first time. She could still remember the way his cold eyes pierced hers, and she could do nothing but to stare back, with the same intensity.

Oh no. She had messed things up and she knew that she couldn't possibly fix that.

When she got back to the room, she staggered towards the bed and buried her face into a pillow as soon as her body but the bed.

She was having a really bad day, and all she just wanted to do was to sleep...without waking up again.

However, it seemed the universe was against her. As soon as she finally started sleeping deeply, her phone beep
