64. CURIOSITY

PETAL’S POV

I was in my hotel room editing the final article that would be released on the night before the election when one of the aides came to inform me that my attention was needed by the Chairman.

I was led to the garden where I saw the Chairman having a glass of wine with a woman who seemed to be in the political sector too as they talked about things I couldn’t hear due to the distance.

“Come closer, it’s not like I’m unapproachable” he called out and motioned for me to come closer which I did hesitantly

He turned back to the woman who was on a black knee length gown with a butterfly shaped chest. Her dressing was classic and one could tell from her milky skin that she enjoyed a thorough skincare routines.

“Good evening” I greeted, as soon as I closed in on the gap between us

“Is she the lady you told me about? She has an excellent writing skills that doesn’t befit her face” she remarked with a chuckle and the smile on my face disappeared.
