89. SOMEONE'S MISFORTUNE

By the time I woke up, I was told that I had been out for more than forty eight hours. This time, I was much calmer and back to my old self even though I was still remembering all the memories I just recovered.

“Are you feeling pain anywhere? Do you need attention in any part of your body?” my doctor asked over and over in order to make sure that I was indeed fine

I nodded with a faint smile and responded “Don’t worry, I can always call the button if I am in need of you” and he agreed

“Don’t stress yourself for the time being and just rest. The IV will run for more days so you will be hospitalized till then. I hope you bear with us for those times” he said with care and I was touched by his gentleness

“I know it’s not easy to stay in bed” he added with a bright smile which I returned

I shrugged and also said “I just have to get used to it. It will be over soon after all” and we bumped knuckles before he left my ward.

I kept thinking about what could have happened that day but nothing
