92. MY PROMISE

I thought hard and long about where to start looking for the truth because I couldn’t just sit down and rely on the memories that I wasn’t sure was even accurate. Since my mother adopted me or probably found me somewhere, she would surely be the starting point of where I have to follow in order to retrace my step.

I met her coming back from the supermarket and was about entering the house when I got there. Judging from her expression, she was shocked to see me suddenly show up in front of her house because I have never been there.

“Do you have some time to spare?” I blurted out

“Sure, come in” she responded and opened the door for me.

We both walked into the house and I took my time to look around. It was a bit better than my father’s house and nothing special was going on except the necessities that were needed in the house. One strange thing was that I couldn’t find any picture of the both of them among the picture frames that were hung, instead they were individual pictures.
