TESSA POV Adam had been in town for a week now and things had been going pretty good. Tyler and him haven't had any more run ins which was a good sign. Adam was behaving himself and grudgingly taking the jobs that Tyler was assigning him to. And they really were the worst jobs in town. And I was started to get back into fighting form. Tyler was finally waking up early enough to come jogging with me. And I was now able to do one and a half laps of the territory which I was actually happy about. It was about time I was improving. And when we got back to the packhouse Adam was just leaving for work. "Have fun on council duty today." Tyler says. "You have me picking up litter and emptying the public bins in town. How the hell can I have fun with that?" Adam asked. "I don't know. Make the most of it." Tyler smirked and pulled me into the house. "You know, if you keep mocking him like that then he is going to resent you even more and you two will be in each other's faces again." I say.

Tyler got the sheriff from the nearest human town to come to the crime scene and he was a middle-aged man with a severe beer belly and was nothing to be desired around these muscled werewolves. "I don't know who he is. He doesn't have any ID." Tyler said to sheriff Miller as they approached the scene. "Oh yeah. His name is Donny. I know him. He's pretty popular around my station house." The sheriff said. "Well, no matter what he did, he didn't deserve this. My coroner has already been here. He determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma and that he's been dead roughly 6 hours." Tyler explained. "Thanks. Obviously I will have to get my coroner to look at him so that it's legit. And we have to move him off pack lands." Sheriff Miller says. "Yeah. These men are here waiting to help you." Tyler says. Tyler called for two warriors to take Adam to the dungeon and don't take their eyes off of him. He is to stay there until Tyler tells them otherwise. And after they took Adam I sat on the couch still in shock. "Did you actually feel an Alpha aura coming off of me?" I asked. "No. It was something different. It was powerful. But it wasn't an Alpha aura. It was something completely different. And your eyes." Tyler says sitting next to me. "What about my eyes?" I asked. It was the same voice that I heard the other times. She was the one doing this. But why was a witch messing around with me. Tyler jumped in front of me and crouched into an attack position and bared his teeth at her. Trying to protect me. 'Tyler, don't. She can't cross the boarder. That's why she hasn't done it yet.' I mind linked him. 'How do you know that?' He asked. 'I can feel it. There's a shield around the territory keeping her out.' I say. 'Who the fuck put a shield up?' He asked. "Your mother did." TYLER POV "Tessa." I sang out going into our bedroom. I know that I was out of line when I forbid her to do anything but she was willing to go on a suicide mission to go find her father. There's no way I could let her go and do that. Not with other vampires and witch's after her. But when I walked into our room I noticed that she wasn't there. I looked in the bathroom and it was empty as well. So I walked back downstairs to the bar area where everyone was hanging out. "Has anyone seen Tessa?" I asked. TYLER POV I don't know how long I had been here for but when I started coming to I knew that I was tied while standing up and I didn't know where I was. Everything was a blur but I heard a lot of noise around me. There were people everywhere, loud music, like a massive party happening right where I was. I slowly opened my eyes and sneaked a peak and I could tell that I was still in that same mansion and I was surrounded by vampires. Vampires partying, vampires feeding on people, willing people. Vampire groupies. It was disgusting. But when one started approaching me, I closed my eyes again and pretended like I was still unconscious. He walked right up to me and grabbed a hold of my face and then splashed freezing cold water on my face. That got my attention and woke me up really quickly. TESSA POV As soon as I got to New Orleans I caught a cab to a cemetery that was actually a public attraction in this city. I went to the Andres Tomb which was out of the way from the tours going through and I sat inside it waiting until the sun went down. "Is there something I can do for you?" A British accent asked from behind me. So I turned around quickly and he looked at me weird and actually stumbled back a few steps once he saw me. "No. This isn't possible." He says. By the following night Tyler had caught Cade up on everything that was going on in New Orleans and Cade was to be acting Alpha of the pack while we were away. But we didn't know how long that was going to be for. So the following night when everyone woke up and were ready to party I noticed that there was barely anyone around the mansion. I found Angelo in the courtyard with Mitchell having a pretty heated argument until they saw me and stopped. And Mitchell stormed off. "Was it something I said?" I asked sarcastically. "No. He just doesn't like have werewolves in the mansion. It's taken us a long time to draw lines and barriers where every species belong. And he thinks that I am breaking all the rules now."
