Chapter One

Many monsoons ago, before the trend of civilization, there was a great kingdom named ìlú Olúyọ̀le. This great kingdom was ruled by many successful Kings and queens until it was the reign king Aderoju Olanrewaju Adegorioye and his wife, Queen Adebisi Ashabi Adegorioye. In the history of Oluyole kingdom, there had being no king or queen that ruled with no children. The reign of king Aderoju was the best reign as king in the village. As good as his reign was, he had but one curse from the gods, no child to take over his place when he's dead. They've been duped on many occasions by many fake native doctors in the course of searching for a child. One day, the gods blessed them with a faithful native doctor that revealed to them the truth the future upholds for Oluyole due to their curse from the gods. Before the presence of the native doctor, the king had been having a strange dream be that none of his subject could interpret. Even his most trusted wise men could not give is a befitting interpretation.

King Aderoju: What is the meaning of this dream?

Chief Aderogba(Òtún àgbà of): Our great King second in command to the gods, this question of yours seems to have no answer but seeing and elephant walking majestically on the grass, then suddenly, the grass became thorns that started pricking the elephant's foot is not something we should over look.

Chief Owonikoko(Òsì): That's true my king but no one seems to have an answer to the question.

King Aderoju: I don't believe no one has an answer. There must be somebody with an answer but the person is just unknown for now.

A guard came in and interrupted their conversation. He prostrated.

Guard: Kaaabiyesi ooooo!!

King Aderoju: Why did you just come in like that? Don't you see I'm in a meeting with my subjects?

Guard: I'm sorry kábíyèsí(king). I thought you'd like to hear what I have for you.

King Aderoju: Whatever message it is, come back and tell me later.

Guard: My king!!! It's a message I must deliver to you right now or you might loose the chance of not hearing it again forever.

King Aderoju: Then let me hear it.

Guard: Yes my king!! A man is waiting outside. He said he has an answer to the question troubling the whole of Oluyole kingdom.

The king was surprised.

King Aderoju: An answer?????

Guard: Yes my king! The way I see him, he's not from our village or any nearby village.

King Aderoju: From a far away land?

Guard: Yes my king.

King: Let him in.

Guard: Yes my king

The guard hurried outside immediately.

Chief Olowookere(Ashipa): I hope he's not a fraudulent person like the other native doctors we've been encountering.

Iyalode Aderinsola: At least, we should hear him out first. Who knows if he's not a fraudulent person like the others.

The native doctor entered.

Native doctor: Kaaabiyesi ooo

Otun: Young man!! Rise up. The king is greeting you too.

King Aderoju: Yes!! I was told you have an answer to my question but I haven't told you the question yet?

The native doctor laughed.

Native doctor: hahaha!! Kábíyèsí!! I see a curse on your forehead, a curse that brings with it the drastic fall of you and your subjects.

The king was confused.

King Aderoju: I've accepted my curse but what does it have to do with the answer to my question?

Native doctor: The curse and the drastic fall is as a result of a sin your ancestors that emerged this throne have committed.

King Aderoju: What?? My ancestors??

Native doctor: yes! They took the life of an innocent soul to lay the foundation of this kingdom. That is why this village always have great Kings but will always remain but due to the sin your ancestors committed, Oluyole will fall.

King Aderoju: Ohh!! gods of Logos!! Is there any way out of this?

Native doctor: The great question.

King Aderoju: The great question???

The king was confused.

Native doctor: Oh yes!! The great question. The great question that has been troubling the mind of the king and his subjects. The answer to that question is the only solution to all this problem. The meaning of the dream you had that led to the question is the only way Logos can move from being a village to a great kingdom.

King Aderoju: So what's the solution?

Native doctor: A great disaster will befall this village and cause it to fall. During this period, two children will be born from the same mother. They'll hail from this palace but not of royal blood. These children will be the one to bring back the glory of this village and make it a great kingdom but on this day, none of you including the whole villagers will be alive to see that day.

King Aderoju: So what do you have me do?

The native doctor got up in preparation to leave.

Native doctor: inform your subjects about this great disaster and get them prepared for it.

The king sighed in depression.

King Aderoju: Okay!! We shall heed to your advice.

Native doctor: I take my leave.

He turned around to leave.

King Aderoju: Wait!! What's your name?

He stopped, backing the king.

Native doctor: I am nobody from no land.

Then he left.

King Aderoju: Hmmmmmmm you all heard what the native doctor said. That's a befitting answer to the great question and everyone has to be prepared for the great disaster.

He stood up and went into his chambers.

Otun: Ohhhhh!!! What an answer that was, a great disaster. Everyone has to be prepared for it.

He called the town crier and ordered him to do his job. One by one, the chiefs stood up and went to their homes.
