The class was still dragging by and I was texting my woman. The professor might have asked a question because when I looked up, I saw many fingers raised up.

"You," the professor said, pointing in my direction. I turned back to check if there was anyone behind me but there wasn't. "Yes, Mr. Gavin," the professor said, arching a brow for me to speak. Because I didn't know what had been said, I froze his senses with my powers and read his mind. From there I sought the question he had asked.

"What is that thing every human must experience?" He had asked.

Breaking him from the trance I answered. It wasn't something I needed to skirt around for. I knew the answer like the inside of my palm.

"Change," I answered surely. The professor looked impressed.
