CREEKWOOD PACK

Jax looked at himself in the mirror, he looked very different from how he looked before everything started. He had lost a lot of weight from his time in prison and his eyes looked haunted. Jax had changed and he knew deep in his soul that he had changed, he could only hope that he would be able to defend his pack and make them proud once more.

There was a slight knock on the door.

"Come in" he answered.

Dean walked in, he glanced at Jax worriedly, his Alpha looked so tired, he wished that he would be able to help Jax in a way that would be beneficial to him.

"Yes?" Jax prompted him after seeing him remain silent.

"The pack is ready for you Alpha." Dean told him.

"Thanks, let's go." Jax replied.

"Uhm shouldn't you eat something first, you look a bit weak." Dean said, worry apparent in his tone.

"I will be fine Dean, don't worry too much about me." Jax said with a smile on his face to ease Dean's worry.

"If you say so Alpha." Dean replied.

"Let's go meet the pack." Jax said.

The both of them walked to the pack meeting together.

Jax stopped in front of the venue, he was afraid of how his pack would react to him, would they be happy to see him or not?

"Alpha, we can always postpone the meeting if you aren't ready." Dean told him.

"Its okay, I am fine. You don't have to be so worried." Jax replied him. He breathed in deeply and walked into the meeting room.

Immediately he walked in, everybody stood up.

"Alpha Jax, welcome back." they chorused in unison with big smiles on their faces.

Jax was stunned, he didn't believe that he would be given such a rousing welcome. His mouth hung open and he could only look at them in shock.

"Say something." Dean whispered.

"Thank you everyone. I am truly grateful." he told them.

"Please sit down" Jax told them.

The pack sat down and looked at him hopefully waiting for his instructions.

Jax stood in front of them, he cleared his throat and began.

"My dear pack, first of all, I would like to apologize for the embarrassment and trouble I have brought to this pack. It was never my intention to bring such scrutiny to this pack. I was selfish, foolish and cruel. I have failed this pack and should the pack want me to step down from being alpha. I completely understand and I would do so without a fight or complaint."

The pack looked at Jax shocked at the ending of his speech.

An elder stood up to address Jax.

"Alpha Jax, we are your pack members and I believe I speak on the behalf of everyone when I say we love you and respect you above everything else. You made a mistake Alpha, everyone makes mistakes but you can't step down or give up just because of a mistake, please we don't want another Alpha. We still want you and together we will all work towards making Creekwood pack a wonderful pack. Do I speak the mind of everyone?"

"Yessss!"

"We love you Alpha!"

"Don't step down Alpha!"

The crowd chanted together.

Jax stared at them in shock, he was so emotional. He could feel tears welling up in his eyes.

'Don't cry, Don't cry' he chanted inwardly.

"Thank you everyone, I will be sure to work hard to make you all proud of me. Thank you all." Jax replied them.

"You are welcome Alpha" they answered.

"Good night, have a good night rest." he told them.

"Have a good night too Alpha." the pack replied.

Jax nodded and walked back to the pack house with Dean.

"Maybe a little dinner now Alpha. Trina has made dinner already. Will you eat a little food?" Dean asked tentatively.

"I will." Jax answered.

"Then let's go Alpha."

FIREBLOOD PACK

Ava knocked on the door slightly to alert Ryder that she was coming in.

Ryder was her mate and the Alpha of Fireblood pack.

She opened the door and walked in.

"Hey wildcat." Ryder said as she walked in.

"Hey love, what's going on with you?" she asked as she sat on his legs.

Ryder kissed her on the lips. "Nothing much, I am just going over some pack documents. By the way, I heard that Jax was released today and he is currently back to his pack."

"That is good to know. Poor Jax, how is he doing?" Ava asked.

"A bit shaken by the ordeal but he is an Alpha, I am sure he will bounce back in no time."

"I hope he does. I feel really bad for him." Ava said.

Ryder looked at her surprised. "I am actually surprised that you are concerned about Jax. After everything he did to you?" Ryder asked her.

"Ryder my love, if I could forgive Lily, how much more Jax?"

"Thats true. So where is everyone?" Ryder asked.

"Lavender and Jayden are off doing some couple stuff. Aunt Helena and my dad are also doing some couple stuff. That's everyone."

"Hmmm!"

Ava stroked his hair softly.

"So, now that everyone is doing couple stuff, do you think that we could also do couple stuff as well?" she asked.

Ryder smiled up at her and pulled her down to kiss him. Ava kissed him back but soon she noticed that he was getting distracted so she stopped to look at him.

"Are you okay?" she asked in concern.

"I am sorry babe, it's just that I am worried about Lily, she should have given birth by now. I wonder if she is okay and if the baby is also okay."

"I am sure she is fine and her baby is also fine too. Your aunt and uncle are also taking good care of her. Your mind can be at rest."

"I know but I can't help to be worried."

Ava kissed his forehead. "I understand baby, believe me I understand."
