SERAPHINA POV

I wake up the next day, I can't really tell if its morning, afternoon or evening as the curtains are pulled closed, I don't remember closing them as I like to look outside at the woods. I go to get out of bed and that is when I realise that there is an arm wrapped around my waist. I stop moving as the arm pulls me closer and holds me tighter, I turn my head just a little and see the most handsome man I have ever laid my eyes on. Lilith is doing something in the way of a howl, a growl and a purr, not that I knew wolves could purr, at the fact a man is holding us without our permission. I slowly and carefully turn over, trying not to wake him so I can get a better look. This guy had gorgeous black hair, a strong jaw and really kissable lips Huh? I don't know where that came from. I look back up to his eyes that are now open and get slightly lost in the beautiful green. He smile at me and in a very husky, very sexy voice says "Good evening! How did you sleep my lady?"

A shiver runs through me at his voice and how he calls me his lady. "Hi! I slept very well thank you" I whisper, not trusting my whole voice yet.

"Thank you for saving me that night, I owe you my life!" I continue to whisper, blushing I move my eyes down.

"What's your name my lady?" he asks while tilting my face up to meet his eyes again

"Seraphina Amara Wolfe, and yours?"

"Beautiful! Dominic Issac King at your service my lady." he says with a smile,

I feel so shy and vulnerable being in his arms with him looking into my eyes the way he is, I can't tell if he can feel it too. I have never allowed someone to get this close to me, if you don't let them close both physically and emotionally then they can't take advantage and hurt you. The first and last guy I allowed to get this close tried to force me into having sex with him, I was 14. He left me with a small scar on my left hip and my right shoulder, from the silver knife he tried to use to remove my clothes. I only just got away from him. Thinking about that made me tense and then start to shake, if Dominic decided he wanted to do anything I don't know if I would be able to stop him even with Sebastian's lessons.

Dominic seems to notice the change in my body and frowns, "My lady what's wrong?"

"Please..." I can't seem to get anything else out as more panic sets in

"My lady Seraphina! I will not hurt you!"

to prove his point he actually removes his arms completely.

I take this opportunity to scramble off the bed and run into the bathroom, I turn on the shower strip and get under the hot spray. As soon as I start to let the water relax me I slide down the wall and let the tears fall.

DOMINIC POV

Waking up and finally seeing her beautiful blue eyes, I can't think of a better way to start the evening. I smile as I realise she is looking me over and say "Good evening! How did you sleep my lady?" calling her my lady just seemed right somehow.

I feel the shiver that goes through her as she whispers "Hi! I slept very well thank you" she stops for a few seconds and then continues "Thank you for saving me that night, I owe you my life!"

I see the blush as it slowly rises on her face, she must feel it because the next thing I know is that she has lowered her eyes. I find I don't like this because she is my equal not below me and she should be able to look into my eyes and tell me anything without fear, there goes that warmth in my heart again.

I bring her eyes back to mine by using my fingers to tilt her head back up and whisper "What's your name my lady?"

"Seraphina Amara Wolfe, and yours?"

"Beautiful! Dominic Issac King at your service my lady." I smile again.

Then something happens, she goes tense and starts to shake, as if she just remembered something that scared her. I frown and ask "My lady what's wrong?"

"Please..." is the only soft reply I get as she seems to panic a little more

"My lady Seraphina! I will not hurt you!" I remove my hands and allow her to get off the bed. She practically runs into the bathroom, I then hear the shower running but not long after that I can hear soft sobs coming from there as well. I want to go in and comfit her but I don't know how she will take me just walking in. Unfortunately Caleb takes that choice from me, he grabs a nice fluffy towel and opens the bathroom door. He doesn't look at her but turns off the water, wraps her in the towel and then picks her up taking her back into the bedroom to sit back on the bed with her on our lap. She curls into our chest and seems to hold onto us tight, its like she believes we will disappear.

We sit like that until her stomach growls, telling us that she needs something to eat. She looks up at us then and says "I'm sorry, Thank you!"

"My lady! There is no reason to be sorry. It is and will always be a pleasure to serve you in anyway we can!" Caleb replies. He is still surprising me, offering to serve someone else, its just not him, he would rather make someone else do it.

Caleb recedes and I allow her to climb off my lap, she goes into the closet and comes out wearing one of my t-shirts and a pair of my boxer briefs. Man! Did she look gorgeous and extremely sexy, she then made her way to the door and opened it. As she was about to go out she said "Are you coming or are you staying on the bed"

She let out just a hint of a giggle as she walked away down the hall. I smiled no-one has made me feel like this, I get up, have a quick shower, get dressed and then head to the kitchen for breakfast dinner and maybe a warm cup of blood.

SERAPHINA POV

I bounce down the stairs, heading for the kitchen because I am really hungry and a little on the stiff side, after all the training I did with Sebastian yesterday but I feel good. It was a little scary waking up to Dominic this evening since I didn't really know anything about him except that he saved me from that vampire. I felt safe in his arms and there was the slightest hint of some sparks. Could he really be my mate, I never really thought about having one before. I was starting to think that with all the trouble that seems to follow me everywhere I go I don't deserve a mate, because that would just put him in danger too.

"Hey Seb! Good evening! Did you sleep well?" I say as I enter the kitchen

"Hey Sera! Good evening to you too, and I should be the one asking you that question!" he laughs

"I'm extremely hungry a little stiff but I had a great night sleep. Even with the surprise I woke up to" I say as I put my head in the fridge looking for the ingredients to make pancakes. Josephine showed me how to cook them the second day after I woke up from the attack.

"Surprise? What surprise?"

"That surprise would be me!" Dominic laughs as he enters the kitchen.

Sebastian coughs, nearly chocking on his cup of warm blood.

"Sir! Sorry sir, I didn't know you were back yet! Your highness!" Sebastian says getting up off the stool he was sitting on and bowing towards Dominic.

I looked at him in confusion, did Sebastian say your highness. But that would imply that Dominic is not just a high ranking vampire but the highest vampire. The Vampire King!

I think I passed out because everything started to spin and just went black.
