CHAPTER 150 - DARK PATH

“Alpha...” With his head bowed, the omega approached, trembling.

“What does an insignificant wolf like you want?” I growled impatiently.

“Forgive me, my king.” Trembling, Lukas responded, stuttering. “The witch requested your presence in the sacred circle near the healing river of our goddess; she said it's urgent!”

“It seems everything here has become urgent.” I roared angrily. “Get out of my sight!”

In the blink of an eye, the wolf ran off, disappearing. I followed her to the location, seeing Sophie bound by magical chains driven into the stones, and struggling to contain her. She seemed possessed; even her scent was different. Lifting her head towards me, I saw eyes covered in a dark shadow and black goo dripping from the corners of her lips.

“WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?” I roared, approaching quickly in my werewolf form.

“It's not what you think, King Lycan.” Elara hurried to respond.

“Tell me, old witch, what am I thinking?” Snarling, I stopped in front of her, fangs bared.
